Bikes are now so much more than just the traditional push-bike, and Bikelinc accepts many of these new bike types.
So you can add electric and power-assisted bikes, scooters, non-registerable off-road motorbikes, hand cycles, bike trailers, mobility scooters and even unicycles for example.
Bikelinc supports the registration of bicycles and compliant e-bikes, which have a unique serial number, for identification and recovery purposes across Australia.
To be eligible for registration, cycles must comply with applicable Australian laws and relevant state or territory regulations, including requirements relating to motor power, speed, and operation.
Cycles that do not meet these requirements, including modified or high-powered electric conversions, are not eligible for and should not be registered on Bikelinc. Registration on Bikelinc does not constitute confirmation of legal compliance.
But it is not a database for any bikes or similar modes of transport which need to be registered with the Dept of Transport.
