You see a bike you think is lost or stolen
- Please contact police on 131 444.
- If you come across someone with a stolen bike, never confront them, please contact police on 131 444.
- If possible, locate the bike’s serial number which is usually found underneath the bottom bracket of the frame. Other places it could be located are the chain stays, headset or seat tube.
- Describe where you found the bike and when.
- Make a note of the brand, colour and any distinguishing features of the bike you’ve found.
- If possible, take it to the nearest police station. WA
- You can use Bikelinc to contact the owner directly.
- Enter the serial number, if it’s listed as lost or stolen, you can select the Contact Owner box, enter your email address and send a message to the listed owner to let them know you have found their bike.
- If you can see the bike but it’s not in your possession, you can also provide information to Crime Stoppers by phoning 1800 333 000 or reporting online. If it’s safe to do so, take photos of the bike you believe is lost or stolen and include these with your online report.
