You know how parents often have to repeat themselves? Well it turns out they’re often right — and this family found out the hard way.

Despite many, many reminders, their son had left his bike lying around unlocked and then in early April it mysteriously disappeared from their front veranda.

The dad had recently heard about Bikelinc from his wife, so he’d registered the bike just in case.  And lucky he did — because just 3 or 4 days after the bike’s disappearance he got a message through Bikelinc from a complete stranger who’d spotted the missing bike behind a bin near a pilates studio in North Perth. Proof that good people really are out there… and that bikes show up in the weirdest places.

Thanks to the power of Bikelinc — and a good samaritan with a sharp eye — the bike was recovered and is now safely back where it belongs. Hopefully locked this time.

So it goes without saying – lock your bike, register it on Bikelinc and maybe listen to your parents every now and then!
