Stolen from Perth CBD, under a security camera, on a busy Friday morning while the owner was having coffee, this bike finally found its way home after 5 months.

The owner had little hope of ever seeing or using it again on her commute into the city, to the beach or going out and about. They reported the theft to police who suggested registering the bike as stolen on Bikelinc – just in case.

Five months later, a team of helpful staff from a real estate company in Fremantle found the bike and posted about it on Facebook. Someone suggested checking the serial number on Bikelinc, and that’s when they discovered it was listed as stolen.

The Bikelinc record led them straight back to the rightful owner, who was very surprised, and very happy, to get their bike back!

It had clearly been through a few adventures along the way, with a few broken spokes, a missing saddle and a damaged bell. But thanks to some good people, a serial number and Bikelinc, this well-travelled bike is finally back where it belongs. 🥹
