When a bike was stolen from a shared car park, its owner thought it might be gone for good. Despite being securely locked to a pole, the bike was taken, leaving its daily commuter without their main ride for work, leisure, and shopping trips.
That all changed when the bike was found in one of the City of Vincent’s local parks. Using Bikelinc, a diligent staff member was able to quickly check the serial number which confirmed it was listed as stolen, and send a “contact owner” email through the platform.
The owner received the message, got in touch, and a safe meeting point was arranged to return the bike to its rightful rider.
“Evan and their team were fantastic. Very professional. I’m so grateful to have my bike back.”
Another great example of how Bikelinc is helping communities work together — protecting bikes and ensuring they get back to the people who rely on them every day.
