Terms and Conditions of Use – Bikelinc

The Bikelinc website www.bikelinc.com.au is owned and powered by Crime Stoppers Western Australia (CSWA).  CSWA is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not for profits Commission. This website was developed in accordance our primary charitable functions which are:

  1. Advancing social or public welfare
  2. Advancing the security or safety of Australia or Australian public
  3. Purposes beneficial to the general public and analogous to the other charitable purposes
  4. Another purpose beneficial to the community

The primary purpose of Bikelinc is to assist police to return bicycles that come into their possession to the rightful owners. To do this CSWA maintains a database of users and the details (profiles) provided voluntarily by users.

Access to data provided

There are three access level points to information of this website.

Level 1 – Check Serial Number Access

This access allows members of the public to search the database using a bicycle’s serial number. This search can assist the user to determine the status of the bike listed against that serial number.  This search will only return a result if a serial number has been listed previously through a profile.

Level 2 – My Profile and Bike Rack Access

Users who have created a profile can gain access to their personal profile details and bike rack (which includes details of their bicycles). From there they can change their personal and bike details including bike status. Other members of the public including other Bikelinc users cannot access this data.

Level 3 – Police Access

In order to check bike details and link bikes to owners, authorised police will have access to the details required to link a bike to an owner. These details are not available to members of the public.

By accessing or using this website and related services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, which include our Privacy Policy which is also available at https://bikelinc.com.au/privacy-policy/

If you register a profile on Bikelinc you may add, delete and/or modify your information at any time by accessing your profile using your unique login details.
